As a part of Zurich’s "Necklace of Spectacles" along the lakeside promenade, the new kiosk—Parapluie, stands at a key intersection between the promenade and Bahnhofstrasse, in the most intimate corner of the Stadthausanlage.

Designed as a compact, radial structure with a circular serving counter, the kiosk is accessible from all sides. A warm red umbrella defines its identity, casting a changing light on the white materials beneath. The structural system is lightweight, modular, and built from recycled and prefabricated elements, enabling fast assembly. Seasonal flexibility is built into the design, with foldable buffet windows that open fully in summer and partially in winter.
